Guard Your Heart, Shine Your Light!

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Proverbs 4:23 (NLT)

Do not let the meanness and coldness of others, or of this world, take root inside of you. The world can be harsh, people can be unkind, and situations can test your patience, peace, and faith. But you are not called to mirror bitterness or darkness; you are called to reflect the light of Jesus Christ.

When you allow negativity to seep into your spirit, it slowly begins to dim your joy, rob you of peace, and distort your perspective. Instead, choose to guard your heart with love, hope, and truth.

Remember that your humility, and kindness is not weakness, and your light is a steady and powerful defense against hate, lies, and evil. It is a gift meant to push back and defeat the darkness around you.

Please stay rooted in God’s love, His Word, lean on His strength, and let His peace lead and guide you daily. Remember, the Spirit of God inside of you is greater than the evil that tries defeat and destroy you.
